Currently

Currently............

Today is my day to do a *currently* post, because I need to post, but am very much without inspiration. But, because I have so much going on, this post could be exciting.

Currently I am......

Working tons! I have two coworkers who have been in the emergency room or doctors office in the past forty-eight hours, leaving me as the only employee who is available. More hours=more money, but my feet hurt!

Wanting iced coffee. A Bigby Coffee is being erected verrrrrry close to where I work, and it will be a bad day for my wallet when it opens. Hazelnut sounds really good right now.
Yum
Wearing a really cool shirt! It is shiny silver, with three-quarter length flowing sleeves. I just love silver!

Wishing I was sleeping more. But I discovered that Colonel Oliver North (of the Iran-Contra Affair--check Wikipedia :-) is an author. I was up until late finishing that book. I could not put it down!

Wishing I had discovered Josh Groban a long time ago! I have not heard all of his songs, so I cannot guarantee that they are all good, but those that I have listened to are. His range is out of this world! I am amazed by some of the notes he hits. At Christmas, Oh Holy Night, sung by him, plays all the time, and combine my favorite Christmas carol with an awesome voice, and they could play it 24/7 and I would not tire of it!

Wishing I was in Narnia, or England, or somewhere other than I am. I am not sure why, but an adventure sounds really good right now. Probably because work is rather mundane--you do the same three or four tasks over and over with very little variation.

This is really quite true
Wielding a new purse! I truly have not purchased a new purse in a very long time, so this one was  much overdue. It's a black-and-white cross body, with a very cute pattern, almost fleur de lis, but..........not. It is actually pretty small, a fairly abrupt change from my suitcase-style purses. I've discovered, however, just carry more money. :-) I carry a bit more money, then I don't need to carry Every. Single. Thing that I might possibly need, because, in the odd event I really do need it, I have enough cash on me to just buy it.

That is six! A nice, even number to end on. I will mention, however, that today is going to be another crazy day in the life of Clio!

I guess here is where I will add something completely unrelated to the rest of the post. I am realizing anew what a wonderful adventure all of life really is. It isn't all rainbows and unicorns, but it is all a gift from God! Even though Narnia does sound really neat, I should work at being grateful for the moment I am in, the people in that moment, and the God who gave me that moment. I feel as though I should know this by now, but I find that the Christian life is one of rediscovery, because God is so big, and so great that we cannot remember all of things we need to at one time. We end up focusing on His mercy when we need mercy, to the extent of forgetting his justice, we remember His strength when we need strength, but forget that we are called to "be still and know".  Even in the busy-ness of my life right now, I am sustained and encouraged by remembering our great God! He is great when I am tired, great when I am stressed, great when I am excited!

One more---

Currently I am...........

In complete amazement, because my God is awesome! Loving, merciful, just, full of grace, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and still loves and cares for me individually!
My God is...
And that is a way better place to end!
